North Offaly is a great place for many reasons.
[1] It is in the centre of Ireland.
[2] North Offaly is a beautiful, bleak and unique landscape made up of flat black bog lands, lakes, farm lands and forests.
[3] There is no dedicated art gallery in county Offaly.
[4] There are many dark histories in North Offaly including pre-christian sacrifice and colonisation.
[5] In contrast to the rest of Ireland, North Offaly has little or no tourist industry.
[6] It is home to Bord na Mona, the M6 and the Grand Canal.
[7] Offaly was once a huge lake in the centre of Ireland.
